Orbit Corporation Ltd executes Ambuja property land acquisition agreements
Orbit Corporation Limited, through its nominee Orbit Shelter Private Limited, an affiliate company, has completed the execution of agreements for the acquisition of the land admeasuring about two acres at Kalina, Santacruz and adjacent to Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, from Ambuja Cements Limited at a cost of Rs 333 crore. The company can now develop an area of up to 275,000 sq ft on the site.
Pujit Aggarwal, MD, Orbit Corporation Ltd, said, “The acquisition of the Ambuja Cements plot is part of our Company’s long-term strategy to have a 30 per cent revenue mix of open plot development where we acquire property projects, develop them and sell them. Due to the shortage of high quality commercial buildings in the area and coupled with the locational advantages of the Ambuja Cement plot, we are confident of getting a good price premium from discerning and large corporate entities. We intend to complete this project within two years.” “By completing the formalities of the Ambuja Cements land deal, we would like to reiterate that we shall continue to fulfill our mission of building unique, modern and high quality 'living and working' spaces,” Mr Aggarwal added. |
